Fall into Neutrals

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year.  What’s not to like?…the air is cooler,  your favorite jeans come out of the closet and of course all of the great colors that start to appear.  I love the rusty oranges and reds mixed with rich browns and marshy greens, however, this year I’m all about the neutrals!

I’ve been seeing a lot of toned down, muted colors and textures this year and I think it’s a refreshing approach to the normal and expected Fall decor.  Neutral colored pumpkins, green moss, pine cones, leaves and cotton are just a few elements that can be used to enhance a Fall design.  Textures are still a big trend as well so add in some burlap or grapevine as finishing touches. The great thing about using neutrals is that it works with any type of existing decor and looks great in a formal or more casual setting.

The images below are great examples of this natural theme.  Simple, understated yet still elegant… how can you go wrong?

Ps-  If you are a DIYer get out your white spray can and get to it.  White pumpkins are all the rage.
